Some Arabic Vocabulary Nouns


Assalamu Alaikum everyone. Our Arabic Class resumed 2 weeks or so ago. I will start posting the Arabic Class notes to this blog every week, inshaAllah. The following is a list of Arabic words, accompanied by a pronounciation help as well as the translation. I will be posting many of these, once every day or so. Practice pronouncing and writing new words everyday. Let me know -send me a quick e-mail- if you run into problems or if you have questions or concerns.

أَبْ - Ab -Father

أُمْ - Um -Mother

عَمْ - Am -Uncle -the father's side

خَالْ - Khal -Uncle -the mother's side

إِبْن - Ibn -Son

بِنْت - Bint -Daughter

رَجُل - Rajul -Man-

وَلَد - Walad -Boy

أﷲ - Allah

مُحَمَّد - Mohammad

صَلاَة - Salat -Prayer

زَكَاة - Zakat -Charity

صِيَام - Siyam -Fasting

حَجْ - Hajj -Pilgramage -to Mecca

كِتَاب - Kitab -Book

قَلَم - Qalam -Pen

كُرَّاسَة - Kurrasah -Note book

وَرَق - Waraq -Page

كُرْسِي - Kursi -Chair

طَاوِلَة - Tawilah -Table

شَمْسْ - Shams -Sun

قَمَرْ - Qamar -Moon
